Thanks for your question! It is important to eat healthy and to have a well balanced diet before conception and during pregnancy to obtain good nutrition for optimal growth and development. Folic Acid (Folate), Iron, Omega-3 Fatty Acid, Vitamin A, B12, C and D are essential vitamins and minerals required during pregnancy and lactating. Milk is a good source of calcium that is required for strong bones and teeth. Other good sources of calcium include cheese, yoghurt and beancurd. Alternate sources of calcium include green leafy vegetables, ladies fingers, small fish with edible bones such as “ikan bilis” and sardines, and calcium-fortified soymilk and fruit juice. For further advice or enquiries, you may like to consult and discuss with your doctor, or you may like to speak to our Careline Advisors at 1800 265 3188 (Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm). Hope this helps!
